• "Show Splash" sets whether to show the initial ZipControl splash window.
• "Start Minimized" sets ZipControl to open its first window minimized.
• "SmartView" sets the default View/Run operation of ZipControl to use the operating system's associations to determine how to View (display) or run a file contained in a zip file. For operating systems that do not associate file types with default programs, the user is prompted to define one or more programs that he wishes to be associated with that file type.

  For example, text files (.txt) may be associated with a specific text editor.
  

  In the example above, with SmartView enabled, a request to View a file which has a .txt file extension will display that text file using the associated text editor.
  

  With SmartView disabled, the View command will display a list of programs with which to display the file, rather than using the default program. An alternative to disabling SmartView is to use the right mouse button to display a popup menu ("OpenWith") that permits selecting a program from a list of associated programs.
