This is a binary installation package for the mxBase collection of
Python extensions by Marc-Andre Lemburg and eGenix.com, release 2.0.5,
built for the OS/2+EMX port of Python 2.3.4.

The source archive for, and more information about, this package can be
obtained from http://www.egenix.com/.

You need the Python 2.3.4 port installed before you can install this
package - you should be able to get it where you obtained this
archive.

To install (assuming a working Python installation), change to the
directory containing the install script (install.cmd), and execute the
script.

The file COPYRIGHT.mxBase, LICENSE.mxBase, and README.mxBase are
(respectively) the COPYRIGHT, LICENSE, and README files from the root
directory of the source archive.

When installed, the Lib/site-packages subdirectory of your Python 2.3
installation will contain an mx subdirectory. The Doc subdirectory
within the mx subdirectory contains HTML documentation for the extensions;
point a browser at the URL
  file:///{PYTHONHOME}/Lib/site-packages/mx/Doc/eGenix-mx-Extensions.html
to view it (subsititute the value of your PYTHONHOME environment variable
for {PYTHONHOME} in the URL).

The DateTime, TextTools and Tools subdirectories of the mx subdirectory
contain Examples subdirectories.

Please let me know if you encounter any problems with the installation
package. Bug reports about the mxBase extensions themselves are best
addressed to eGenix.com, cc'ed to me in case they're specific to this
package.

This software package is provided 'as-is', without any express or implied
warranty. In no event will the packager be held liable for any damages
arising from the use of the software.
