This is a binary installation package for Armin Rigo's Psyco
(Python Specializing Compiler) extension module for Python, v1.1.1,
built for the OS/2+EMX port of Python 2.3.2.

The source archive this package is based on was found at
  http://psyco.sourceforge.net/

Please refer to the COPYING.psyco (MIT Licence), README.psyco and
ISSUES.psyco files for more information about psyco, as well as the psyco
web page above. Please note in particular Armin's notes about this
being _EXPERIMENTAL_ software.

All components were built with the Distutils setup.py scripts from
the source archives, with no modifications to either source or
setup scripts. All tests included with the source code were passed.

You need the Python 2.3.2 port installed before you can install this
package - you should be able to get it where you obtained this
archive. This package should also work with Python 2.3.

To install (assuming a working Python installation), change to the
directory containing the install script (install.cmd), and execute the
script. If you have an older version of psyco installed, the script
will terminate with an error message - you will need to delete the
psyco subdirectory of the %PYTHONHOME%/Lib/site-packages directory
and retry the script.

Please let me know if you encounter any problems with the installation
package. Bug reports about psyco should be directed to the bug tracker
at Sourceforge.

This software is provided 'as-is', without any express or implied warranty.
In no event will the packager be held liable for any damages arising from
the use of the software.
