Twilight Warrior Special Forces Doom2 Conversion

Many of the levels in Twilight Warrior have been based upon real incidents,
aborted missions or training undertaken by special forces units. Embassy
hostage incidents, hijackings, counter-narcotics and assassination are but
a few of the tasks undertaken by a whole range of special forces units 
across the world. While several of these missions are quite obviously
based on missions that actually occured, we invented several other
plausible scenarios.

** Mission Briefings **

Map 1 - Killing Room

Display your markmanship on the sniping range in simulated urban and 
jungle environments. Then feel the adrenalin pump through your veins as you 
proceed through the 'Killing Room,' relying on your gunslinging CQB
(close quarters battle) skills and lightning reactions in the disorientating 
darkness of a cement arena.

Map 2 - Golden Triangle

You crawl slowly through the dense jungle, trying to move tactically
as you carefully encircle a narcotics base camp in the depths of a South 
American nation. The area is guarded by mercenaries and narco guerillas who
are well rewarded by the drug cartels for their viciousness and military 
skills. You must render the camp dysfunctional - by killing key personnel 
and destroying any processed narcotics that are stored in the area. You
must destroy the camp and exfiltrate via a river to the north of the camp.

Map 3 - Denied Area

The Black Talon terrorist faction has kidnapped two high profile 
businessmen and has been holding them hostage for over two years. The 
location of the hostages has finally been pinpointed - they are being 
held in a tiny middle-eastern township. The exact location of the hostages, 
however, is unknown. The environment is not permissive, as the government is
secretly sympathetic to the cause of the Black Talon. After being covertly 
inserted on the outskirts of the bombed township at nightfall, it quickly
becomes apparent that the local militia is out in force, aggressively 
patrolling the streets. Heavy combat is imminent, but the opportunity to 
free the hostages cannot be wasted. You will have to use your FIBUA 
skills (urban warfare) and engage in house to house searches to recover the
civilians.

Map 4 - Navy SEAL

As part of a special forces unit cross-trained in naval wafare, you are 
presently tasked with patrolling coastal waters to interdict, confront and 
neutralise drug and arms smugglers. As you come alongside a large boat, 
small arms fire and RPG grenades whistle past your boat. You immediately 
grab your weapons, and prepare to board the other craft. As you get closer 
to the other ship, weapons and packing cases are clearly visible on its 
decks. You'd better shoot those arms smugglers before they shoot you.

Map 5 - Embassy

Terrorists have raided and trashed an embassy, and in the process, taken
several hostages. Your mission requires you to raid the embassy, blast your
way into the building, eliminate the terrorists and escape. Be sure to
throughly search every room before exiting - your exfil. route will be the
reverse of your infiltration.

Map 6 - North Sea Zone

As part of a military action, a hostile nation has waged war on its
neighbour, and in the process taken over control of vital oil producing
infrastructure. After climbing from the icy water, and into the 
understructure of the oil rig, you are suddenly ambushed by an enemy 
element. You will need to clear the rig, and make your way to the upper 
deck helipad in order to rendezvous with a helicopter exfil.

Map 7 - Counter-Hijack

Several terrorists have managed to slip through airport security with their 
weapons, and onto an airliner, which is sitting on the tarmac in a major 
European airport. However, their plans are foiled when a passenger - an 
off-duty policeman - notices them acting suspiciously and raises the alarm.
In the process, the policeman is shot and his body dumped unceremoniously
onto the runway. The terrorists have barricaded themselves inside and are 
refusing to release an unknown number of fellow passengers on the plane. 
On routine security duty at the airport, your CT team is allocated the 
tricky task of 'taking down' the airliner. You suit up, grab your 
Heckler and Koch MP5 and some incendiary grenades and rush through the 
boarding lounge and down the passenger hatchway, burdened by the knowledge
that you are facing one of the most complex and difficult counter-terrorism
assignments in the world.

Map 8 - Maximum Prejudice

A notorious military dictator has been sponsoring and supporting 
terrorist attacks worldwide, and despite veiled threats via diplomatic
channels, he has brazenly escalated his reign of terror. 
Your commander, acting on orders from above, has tasked your unit with
what is known in the business as a "black operation" or assassination.
Your target will be visiting a secret army base high in the jungle infested
mountains of his home country. You will have to mount a long range 
infiltration through the jungle, which is guarded by heavily armed point 
elements and roving patrols. The target is always surrounded by a 
fanatical and obsessed core of bodyguards, who must also be killed. Your
mission will end immediately upon the death of the dictator.

Map 9 - Immediate Action

The Crimson Apocalypse terrorist faction have staged a robbery at a 
prestigious merchant bank - not to gain money - but in order to take 
hostages and gain maximum publicity for their cause. One of Europe's most 
professional, dangerous and fanatical terrorist groups, the Crimson 
Apocalypse is holding at least two hostages within the building. After 
hours of negotiation, the lead terrorist - frustrated at the stalling 
tactics of the negotiating team - issues the following ultimatum: "We have 
two hostages locked in the bank vault, wired to a bomb with a four minute 
fuse. Unless fifty of our jailed comrades are immediately released, we will 
begin the detonation process." 
The police immediately hand over control of the situation to the military,
and your team begins its assault. Using a pre-defined contingency plan
(also known as an Immediate Action plan), the assault and sniper elements
swing into action. Clutching your H&K MP5 in sweaty hands, you flick off
the safety and prepare to launch a frontal, distractive entry of the
building. You have only 240 seconds to enter the building, clear all the
rooms and rescue the hostages from the vault.

Map 10 - Operation Phoenix

An invading army have conquered and looted a nearby nation, but in doing so,
earned the censure of the world community. A multilateral military effort
is underway to liberate the nation. You and your team are inserted into the
'old quarter' of the capital city to combat the occupation force that
is well entrenched in the surrounding high rise buildings and serpentine 
alleyways. The terrain is a mix of modern buildings and old ruins, and your 
unit's urban warfare expertise is required. Moreover, intelligence shows 
that a major communications centre is contained somewhere within the city, 
and your ultimate aim is to control and disable this facility.
