1) Program Description

This program provides a menu for Doom II.
If you do not have Doom II (by id Software) you do not need
this program.
As a Doom fan I have played the Doom2 level several times, up
to the very last warp. Until I found on the Web lots of new
levels (WADs) distributed for free. So, this is my small retribution
to all WAD designers who spend hours, days, weeks, even months
building new WADs just for fun.
This program is freeware and may be freely distributed as long as
the original package is intact. Please see Distribution Topic below.

2) Distribution

Provided that you verify that you are distributing a Freeware
version of the software you are hereby licensed to make as many
copies of the package of the software as you wish; give exact
copies of the original package of the software to anyone; and
distribute the package of the software in its unmodified form via
electronic means (Internet, BBS's, Shareware distribution libraries,
CD-ROMs, etc.). You may charge a distribution fee for the package,
but you must not represent in any way that you are selling the
software itself.

3) System requirements

RC Doom Launcher runs on any IBM-compatible personal computer with the following:

- 486 microprocessor or better
- 12 megabytes of RAM (Windows 9x)
- At least 1 MB of free space on your hard drive
- Microsoft Windows 9x ( Not tested on Windows NT )
- Doom II (by id Software)

4) Installation

   - Unzip all files to any temporary folder (e.g. c:\temp)
   - Double-click on setup.exe
The installer will install all necessary files
(no runtimes needed) and create the program icon
     on Start Menu
   - The files in the temporary folder can now be deleted

5) How to Uninstall

   - Click on 'Start' menu button
   - Select 'Configurations'
   - Click on 'Control Panel'
   - Double-click on 'Add/Remove Programs'
   - Click on 'RC Doom Launcher'
   - Click on 'Add/Remove' button

If you get the message "some items could not be removed", you can safely delete the folder where the application was installed. To do this, launch MS-Explorer, search for the folder where the application was installed (by default: c:\Program Files\RC Software\RC Doom Launcher) on the left panel of Explorer; click on the folder and press the Delete key. This folder should contain only 2 files: rcdm.ini and doom2(.pif).
