I don't hear you ask. "My module called 'Revenge of the Babygang', that's what" I reply knowing that you can't hear me either. I've been working on this MOD since August 1994. There's a little story behind it so I might as well tell you to fill out this doc file a little. Back in August, John Breen (alias Wombat of Wombat Computer Enterprises - or something equally soporific) phoned me up from Mandurah and asked me to compose a tune for his next demo. "What kind of tune?" I asked. "Something that sounds like a tune that would fit a Womabt demo" was the lame reply, "Anything, basically." I thought about this for a while. Maybe I would do a tune containing sounds of a creature that eats roots and leaves but then it occured to me that Breen (I don't like the guy very much so I avoid usuing his first name) is a creature (a very appropriate word) that eats and then comes back for a second helping. Anyway, I started work on this tune and I realised that it wasn't too bad. I didn't feel like making any special effort for Breen. Then a mutual friend told me that Breen was going to use an Intro Maker to amke his demo. I thought "Stuff him then, he's not getting it." Since then, I've worked on the tune on and off whenever the mood took me. Finally, in the last few days of almost constant music mayhem, it's actually complete. So, a word of warning for any W.A. musicians -- should Breen ever approach you for music for his next demo, beat him to death. It's almost guaranteed that his demo will consist almost entirely of stolen code. Sad really, because Breen does actually have some talent in this area. Some technical info about this module. FM Synth was NOT used to create any sounds here. All sounds sampled from my Commodore 64 and mangled using the chord and sample editing functions in ProTracker 3.15. The sounds were recorded using Digital Sound Studio V1.0 with a GVP Stereo sampler initially for my Xiom module which has yet to be used in the Game of the same name (I think).
